Dear Friends,
As I reflect on this past year I am grateful for the blessings of working at the Benevolent Association. What a privilege to witness the many healings at the BA, to hear of the spiritual progress of those who live, work, and visit the BA, and to see God’s law of adjustment in every area of our daily work.
This past year I became aware in more detail of the many individuals who have been healed and helped simply by spending time here as Rest & Study guests. A couple of years ago we began to research the Christian Science periodicals, The Mother Church archives, and our own onsite archives, for the nearly 100 years of healings that have taken place at the BA. We found that countless individuals regularly took their vacation time, military leave, and available weekends, to come to the BA for prayer and in-depth study. These are precious stories of healing, regeneration, and spiritual refreshment. We’ve included one of these stories in this newsletter and will continue to share others.
As you prepare for 2011, please take time to execute a health care proxy for yourself, or review your current one. Read the accompanying article on the wisdom and relative ease of health care proxies.
We’re sharing one of the BA staff’s favorite holiday desserts – Chocolate Mini Cakes. Easy to prepare, delicious, and it’s chocolate!
Be sure and check out our first quarter events at the BA and save the dates. Season’s Blessings from the BA!
